Picture an open page of the phone book where the name and phone number of your deceased loved one is listed. If you could just pick up the phone and dial their number where the two of you could have an open conversation it would eliminate many doubts about life after death. Are they okay? Are they happy? Who are they with on the other side? Are there any events or forewarnings they have wanted to share with you before they happen.
Learning how to communicate with the spirit world where you can give and receive messages in return is as simple as learning how to speak a second language. Instead of speaking vocally with your physical body, you can speak with your loved one through symbols.
Communicating with the spirit world is like learning sign language and this is your classroom of spirit sign language.
One example is to picture a tarot card. The card displays many symbols that mean many things. It represents significant messages that are identified in the imagery of colors, numbers, expressions, people, animals and many other forms. The pictures tell a story and in that story is the message. It’s that simple.
So here is a fun activity to get you started. We’re going to make a greeting card for your loved one on the other side. That card will become the face of symbols in which your loved one can use to communicate with you.
Ready? Let’s get started.
Grab a blank sheet of paper and at the top, write down your loved ones full name. Below that, write down specific numbers that are significant for them such as their birth date or sports number, or even favorite number. On the left side of the paper, write down a color that is significant for them such as their favorite color or color of clothing they were buried in. On the right hand side, write down a significant animal such as a totem animal or favorite animal. If they were not fond of animals, you can substitute it with a favorite car. In the center, write down five words that describe your loved one in unique ways. Examples of this would be their profession or passions such as Military Soldier, Nurse, Teacher, Student, Artist, Musician and so on. Below the five words, draw a code symbol. This code symbol will be your key, something that is private between the two of you that only you will understand so that when it comes to you, you will know for sure it is them making contact. You can even use magazine cut outs or family photos as your code symbol.
For example, let’s say your loved one was terminally ill and stayed in hospice prior to their death. And their hospital door was adorned with pictures of green balloons or their bed table was adorned with bouquets of white roses. This would be something significant that the two of you can share that is private. Or it could be a childhood memory such as a time when you both played football often, so your code symbol would be a football.
The more you list that your loved one can use to communicate with you, the more messages you can receive.
At the bottom of the paper, I want you to write down two things. On one side, write down green lights, and on the other, write down red lights. These are your symbols for yes and no questions. So when you ask your loved one a yes or no question, they can answer you by presenting a green light for yes, and a red light for no. An example of how you would use this is if you were to ask your loved one if they approve of your new job or direction in life. And when you receive your red or green light, you will have you answer.
When you are done with this paper, fold it up in the shape of a greeting card. You now have your symbols in which your loved one can communicate with you. Store your card in a special place which is private but where you have access to it for reference.
The next step is to say a prayer, asking for your loved one to use one or more of these symbols to communicate with you and visit. Ask that their message comes to you personally in a way that you will understand and be able to identify it, without putting into it the limitation of time frames. This will give your loved one ways in which they can reach you through every day items and events.
Your spirit sign language is as simple or complex as you make it and there is no limit to how many details you can offer for them in your library of symbols for communication. You can design a card like this for each person you wish to communicate with which will help reinforce your continuing relationship with those you love who have crossed over.
